From Hard Time to Full Time
Looking for a fresh start? This workshop is for ex-offenders (released, on probation or on parole) who are looking for tips on finding and keeping employment and also wish to discuss ways to overcome the barriers to employment that people with criminal histories face. The Work Opportunity Tax Credit will be discussed and information will be given on how ex-offenders and businesses can take advantage of it. Presented by WorkOne staff. A good employee has the skills to do the job. But a great employee has skills plus the attitude, approach and ability to interact well with others that lead to advancement in the workplace. This workshop will help you understand the attributes that make you a successful worker.
Healthy Indiana Plan
This session will offer information about the Healthy Indiana Plan. The Healthy Indiana Plan will provide health insurance for uninsured adult Hoosiers between the ages of 19-64 whose household income is between 22 - 200 percent of the federal poverty level and are not eligible for Medicaid. Eligible participants must be uninsured for at least six months and cannot be eligible for employer sponsored health insurance.
Computer Basics
Learn the basics of the computer and the Internet. Learn the steps for applying for positions online, posting your resume on job boards, setting up an e-mail account and using Indiana Career Connect to conduct your online job search. Also learn the basics of Microsoft Word and Excel. Use online tutorials to improve your understanding and skills of MS Office products.

Basic Maneuvering in Indiana Career Connect
The State of Indiana has launched a cutting edged tool to assist you in your job search. The Indiana Career Connect website (indianacareerconnect.com) is a holistic tool to give access not only to jobs posted with WorkOne but gives you access to a vast majority of jobs posted on internet job search sites. This staff led workshop will walk you through the basic set-up of a quality job matching resume and show you the job search capabilities of this system.
